The family of Gilbert Loranger are deeply saddened to announce his passing on Sunday, February 15th, 2026 at the Manitoulin Health Center, Little Current.

Phillipe Louis Loranger and Hermine Loranger (nee Lamdureux) 

Beloved husband of

 Lorraine R. Loranger (Auger)

Youngest of 15 siblings 
Jean Paul (predeceased), Fernand (predeceased), Marcel (predeceased), Marie Claire (Grise) (predeceased).
Alice (Perron) (predeceased), Louis (predeceased), Charles (predeceased), Rene (predeceased), Remi (predeceased).  
Jeannie (Genest), Lionel (predeceased), Henri Paul, Robert and Norman.

Father of 
Simon and Renee

Beloved grandfather of 
Grayson, Sadie and Dawson 

Gilbert had a adventurous spirit, these adventures included canoeing from Mattawa to Montreal, sailing the waters of lake Temiskaming, North Channel and Lake Huron. 
He loved to go fishing in any accessible waterways. From the shores of  lake Temiskaming, to James Bay. 
Gilberts adventures did not stop with water, he also skied from B.C to Maine. 

Cremation has taken place. 
A celebration of life will be held on May 16th, 2026 at 105 Moggy Parkway Sunsite Estates.
