A resident of Wiikwemikong died peacefully at the Manitoulin Health Centre in Little Current on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026 at the age of 72 years.
Devoted partner of Thelma Hare of Toronto
and loving father of
Charlene Michelle (Otoniel).
Dear brother of Walter (Jean predeceased),
Diane Jean (Raymond predeceased),
Myles (Virginia predeceased), Blake, John
and Dominic of Wiikwemikong.
Predeceased by his parents
Alfred and Lilian Webkamigad,
brother Ephrem
and sister Regina (John).
Remembered by his godchildren Chrystal and Wilfred.
Sadly missed and fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He will also be missed by his furry friends, Teacup and AlaskaWild.
George worked for the City of Toronto Historical Board for over 30 years. He loved to play hockey He played hockey for the Toronto Islanders and was the devoted captain of the Toronto Firebirds #19. Besides is love of hockey, he also enjoyed playing bingo at Delta St. Clair. George's family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Sunnybrook Hospital and to the staff at the Wikwemikong Nursing Home for their wonderful care of George.

at St. Anthony Daniel Church, Kaboni
Visitation
on Monday, February 23, 2026 from 1pm.
Funeral Mass
on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 11am.
Feast to follow.
George will be buried privately
in the Hare Family Cemetery in M’Chigeeng.
